It's 2 AM and I'm sitting comfortably in my cubicle at Atlantic Records headquarters in Manhattan. 27 stories below me fear bustling streets and hot dog carts, still open for the late-night mugger or nomad. I feasted on a chicken wrap not an hour ago, and I've been singing to old songs ever since.
Tonight I saw Shinedown at the Highline. Atlantic reserved the entire upstairs, so we got VIP hanging out party time which was really swell. My boss was real cool and bought me dinner and stuff. He's a real fun boss. I both fear and respect him, which makes him the best leader based on that Machiovelli cutie pie.
Shinedown was so powerful live, and afterwards, I met them. I told them how I edited them in 2D and how they were a lot cooler in 3D.
Seeing tem live, I couldn't help but look around me and smile widely. Just 3 years ago I'd been enjoying shows for Mad Dragon artists, seeing only a handful of students or fans attend. Here I was, VIP with my family of Atlantics, dancing and smiling while hundreds of dedicated fans pounded their fists and begged for more heavy rock. It was just awe-inspiring. I've come from somewhere. And I can't wait to keep going.
I hope to work with kids one day soon. I love em.
Pulling an all-nighter at work tonight. It's gonna be nuts!
Woooooo. I'm working so hard my body knows it. I hope my hair stays on my head for a while.
See you soon buddy bear,
-Dylan
We had a screening at work today.
This is the movie I made with some help from fellow intern Dan.
